The project Everyday I am a day older, began in late 1992 in Sydney when I was living at the then W.I.N.D.O.W gallery, soon to become CBD gallery. First I lived in the basement and managed its gallery as an inherited exhibition space. This initially photographic project, was determined by the simple directive; Take a photo of yourself everyday.

I was instinctively interested in ideas around ontology and phenomenology. The process of documenting my being in the world resulted in an outcome of humorously mapping my intense dumbfounded-ness. Later in these graphic and painterly works the process lead to themes of self improvement.
